Living Room

I am joining the Roomspiration link party again today.  I welcome you to check out our Living Room and don’t forget to visit View Along the Way to link up and see the others.

I like to think of our living space as the main pop of color for the house.  The couch and chair being the main furniture and the biggest color pieces.  We purchased those two pieces right after we were married and I wish now I had gone with something more neutral.  Now that I am learning my personal style a bit better I’ve been working to live with what I have and toning down with neutral colors.

I purchased the rug and the window treatments last winter and they really did a lot to pull the room together and add neutral color.  I also painted the side walls Bleeker Beige by Benjamin Moore.  I had one side table and my Father in Law found the other, they are identical :)  So a little white paint later they fit perfect in this space.

DSC_0084My Mom found this old chair at an estate sale.  I had it recovered to match the couch and to add a pattern.  I picked up these pillows from TJ Maxx.

This piece is an old family piece from my Husbands family and my Father in Law refinished.

Thank goodness for thrifty and talented family members!  :)
