Little Yellow Piece

A few weeks ago, my last weekend in our house aka moving weekend there was an estate sale that I missed.  It was in my home town and it was the house of an elderly woman who had A LOT of stuff.  I wanted to go but felt pulled to stay home and pack…I literally cried over not being able to go! Not Kidding!
Luckily my Mom went and scored some really great pieces for me!! Yay! Thanks a million Mama!  I went to see the pieces in storage and I can’t wait to get started on them.  I picked the smallest piece out and had to my mark on it.

This is a really cool little piece, very retro.  Loving the curved top.  I was dying to try Arles yellow Chalk Paint and this was a great little piece.  Here is the before….

It has a matching vanity my Mom snagged and I am undecided how I will paint that, this little table is so small that I am not sure it is realistic for a side table unless for a kids room. I personally think it would make a great plant stand.

I painted the handle in Aubusson Blue Chalk Paint.  Loved the shape of that and it was the perfect match to the table but had yellowed over time. It was almost an exact match of yellow when I painted the table, but I thought it should pop.

I can’t wait to show you more pieces…I hope to get my hands on another soon!  My sister in law, Dana, also went to the auction and she scored a Restoration Hardware look alike chair for $7!!!! Yes, $7!!  I cannot wait to show you all when she has it re-upholstered.  It is totally awesome, looking forward to seeing what she does to it.
Do you guys LOVE estate sales?  Been to any awesome ones lately?  Ever cried like me because you missed a good sale?
