Football Weekend

This past weekend Will and I took a really quick trip to TN for the UT vs.. LSU game! We left at 5am Saturday morning, arrived in TN at 11am just in time for tailgating. The game was great and it was so neat to go to another school and experience a different atmosphere.  We go to all the NC State home games and I am a former East Carolina Pirate and the two tailgates are very similar but at TN the tailgate is all on campus and that was so cool!


All the orange a purple…just in time for Halloween!

We left early Sunday morning to head back home and this was the only picture of our beautiful NC Fall foliage I took.  What a nice, pretty drive!

Halloween Letter

I have worked on a little project for you guys.  It took ten times longer than it should have because of time limitations, but it is super cute now that it’s finished.

I had someone cut a letter for me, she makes these and paints them herself and they are super cute.  I just wanted to do something of my own for Halloween but did not want to cut the letter.  So…it started out like this.

Then I went to Michaels Craft Store and went crazy over Martha Stewarts new craft paint collection.  I purchased the stencils and paint for the letter.  The coolest thing I bought was the aerosol can that converts any of her paint colors to spray paint.  This was super easy to use.  I sprayed the whole letter black then added the orange stenciling.



Last, I brushed on the orange glitter the entire surface for a sparkly look.

Now, if I can just find a place to hang it!  Right now it’s hanging on my coat rack.  I had planned to hang on my garage door by my wreath hanger is missing and I cannot remember to pick up a hook !  My Mom made this cute bow for it and I just love it!  The stenciling  is definitely my favorite part.

Now I just need to find something else to try out the Martha Stewart craft paint on :)  Christmas is right around the corner!!

I’m Still Here

I have not disappeared, just been busy with life!  I had such high hopes for October being an awesome blog month since I am obsessed with Halloween.  I wanted to share all my decorating, ideas, crafts but I’ve barely had time lately to use the computer for anything other than work! 
It’s hard to go crazy with Halloween decorations when you are trying to keep your house pristine for selling.  It’s also hard to get any projects done when your busy EVERY weekend!
In other news….

This guy has a new home!  We’ve accepted him, he got a clean bill of health from the vet and that was costly as you pet lovers know so now he’s mine :)  Glen or Glenny or Glennon, or whatever pet name I start calling him is his name.

A New Construction Update

Hey Guys!  Sorry I’ve been M.I.A this week, just busy with boring stuff.  But I did stop by our new build this past weekend and I snapped a few photos I thought I would share.  Basically the dry wall is up and things are moving quick!

I stopped by again today…these pictures were taking on Sunday.  Today the Landscapers were there prepping the yard and planting bushes in the front.  I hope to get some more pictures later this weekend. 
In other news, while we were at the house and doing some land maintenance  in our neighborhood our dog Abbie was chasing this poor baby….

Will didn’t want to leave him because he thought he’d been dumped, but he is the sweetest kitty!  We are keeping him at home for now, trying to make sure we make every effort to find the owner if he was just lost.  Then I don’t know what to do.  I love being a one cat household and really did not want another, neither did my cat Nipper :) He is 100% happy being completely unsocial!  This kitty seems to be socializing ok with our family but I am keeping him separated for the most part since I don’t know his medical history.  But we are calling him Glen for now, since we found him in our neighborhood, named Glen Iris.  :) 
If you want and adorable kitty (about 8 months old) let me know!  I think we can ship him…LOL!

Master Bedroom

Happy Friday!  This has been a really long week.  Will has been out of town for work all week and I have had a long stressful work week.  With that being said, this is a quick post to link up my Master Bedroom to the Roomspiration series over at Just a Touch of Gray.
The biggest want in our bedroom was to keep it calm with color.  I am really ready to get a new bedspread and change things up a bit.
